Ingredients:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Nutmeg, for garnish

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until well combined.
  3. Add the milk and vanilla extract, and stir until everything is combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into a baking dish.
  5. Place the baking dish into a larger baking dish and add enough water to come halfway up the sides of the baking dish.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until the custard is set.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool to room temperature.
  8. Sprinkle the top with nutmeg, if desired, and serve.
