  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation time: 15 minutes Cooking time: 18-20 minutes

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, and beat until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or a spoon, form large balls of dough (about 1/4 cup each) and place them onto a lined baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
  8. Bake the cookies for 18-20 minutes until the edges are lightly browned but the centers are still soft and slightly underdone.
  9. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
