Ingredients:
- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- Cooking spray
Preparation:
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to create a dry rub.
- Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and then rub the dry rub mixture all over the ribs, coating them evenly.
- Spray the inside of your crockpot with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and honey.
- Pour half of the barbecue sauce mixture into the bottom of the crockpot.
- Place the seasoned ribs into the crockpot, stacking them if necessary, and then pour the remaining barbecue sauce mixture over the top.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours or on high heat for 3-4 hours, until the ribs are tender and cooked through.
- Once cooked, carefully remove the ribs from the crockpot and place them on a baking sheet lined with foil.
- Preheat your oven to broil.
- Brush the ribs with additional barbecue sauce from the crockpot, if desired, and then broil them in the oven for 2-3 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
- Remove from the oven and let the ribs rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the crockpot barbecue ribs with your favorite side dishes, such as coleslaw, cornbread, or baked beans.
