How To Make A Homemade Mosquito Trap

There’s nothing more aggravating than trying to relish a pleasant summer night in your backyard, only to be besieged by irksome mosquitoes. Their droning sounds are as unpleasant as their incredibly itchy bites. Citronella candles appear to have a very limited effective radius and duration. So, how do we ward off these irritating intruders?
The solution is a DIY mosquito trap! To craft your homemade mosquito trap, you’ll need:
1 cup of water
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1 gram of yeast
An empty 2-liter bottle
Instructions:
Step 1: Halve the plastic bottle.
Step 2: Dissolve the brown sugar in the cup of hot water. Allow the mixture to cool. Once cooled, pour the solution into the bottom half of the bottle.
Step 3: Introduce the yeast. It will generate carbon dioxide, which is a magnet for mosquitoes.
Step 4: Position the funnel part in an upside-down manner into the other half of the bottle, securing them together with tape if you wish.
Step 5: Envelop the bottle with a black material or apply black paint to the bottle’s exterior, leaving the top exposed. Position the bottle outdoors, at a distance from your usual hangout area (mosquitoes are attracted to the color black).
Step 6: Refresh the solution every fortnight to maintain control over mosquito populations.
