This will soon become one of your favorite ways to include shrimp into your weekly dinners if you like it. You’ll need raw shrimp, olive oil, and barbecue sauce to make this meal. That’s really all that’s required. While we prepared our own barbecue sauce just for this dish, you can make this healthy and easy shrimp dinner using any barbecue sauce you choose. It takes around four or five minutes of cooking over a medium flame for the shrimp to become pink from raw. If you’re short on time but still want a tasty and filling meal, try this recipe for grilled shrimp.
THE INGREDIENTS LIST:
2 Tsp.Of olive oil.
500 grams.Of raw large shrimp peeled and deveined.
1 Tbsp.Of fresh chopped parsley to garnish.
FOR THE BBQ MARINADE, I USED:
4 Tbsp.Of organic ketchup.
1½ Tbsp.Of olive oil.
1 Tbsp.Of honey.
1/2 lime – juiced.
1 Tsp.Of chili powder.
1 Tbsp.Of smoked paprika.
2 Tsp.Of hot sauce or to taste.
Salt and ground pepper to taste.
lime wedges to serve with.
DIRECTIONS:
1st Step
Combine all of the ingredients for the barbecue sauce in a small bowl.
2nd Step
Put the shrimp in a zip-loc bag and add half of the barbecue sauce to the bag. Shake well. And for an even coating, stir the bag many times, and save the leftover sauce cause you can need it.
3rd Step
Warm the two tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over moderate heat. Spread the marinated shrimp out in a single layer on the serving plate.
4th Step
Sauté undisturbed for about two to three minutes, then turn and continue cooking for approximately one minute more, or until the meat is pink and opaque.
5th Step
Pour the remaining barbecue sauce over the shrimp, wait for it to heat up, then toss it to evenly cover the shrimp. Add some chopped parsley as a garnish.
